I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Again, I'm not picking sides.
I got the reason for my banning. And I quote, "He's associated with thejdm." Apparently the team of mods also said that there were people who joined and voted for me on the featured EK. *shrug* I never advertised anywhere that I was even running...just bored one night so I figured I'd throw it up.

JDMU has their caliber of members just like any other forum.

Oh well, whatever. I'm banned like alot of other people. Whether banned for causing trouble, just having something in their sig, or just merely being associated with another site. :middle:

When Saint was banned I actually argued my point via PM with some of the moderating team only to be shot down, which is why I left originally.

Not true, so I don't think it's fair for you to "victimize" yourself as a martyr.
I'm not happy unless you're not happy.

I realize some people were banned for obvious reasons. Some were banned for not so obvious reasons.

Truthfully, the thing that started this whole thing was the censoring of the word "thejdm" after Jawn's banning. Some members argued that censoring and were banned.

Phunhaus, you know personally that I am a member of many sites. I post on all of those sites without any problems at all. I support those other forums because they all cater to a different group. ie...e-hatch = all hatch people. clubek = all 6th gens. Etc.

I have never seen a more blatant (and quite immature) attack taken against another online forum than censoring their name. If it is going to be said that no one shall advertise another site on a forum...make it happen for all such sites. No one should have any sort of advertising in their sig.

Sorry to unload. It's not directed at you, Phunhaus. Just carrying on the discussion to make sure that all are brought up to speed.

This is true, in a sense. As I mentioned earlier, I do not think you should have been banned. The other's, well, when you come onto a site to vote for your friend, that's fine. But when you vote for your friend, then whine and complain that someone else is winning and you don't think they should simply because you don't think they have enough done, that's not alright.

Or how about when you've been a member of the other site for a while, never caused any trouble, then purposely (knowing the conflict between both sites) create a thread advertising this site and specifically making sure TheJDM.com appeared....yea, you're going to get banned. Why? Because, whether the admin of JDMU is right or wrong for disliking this site, to purposely make a thread suggesting people to come here is not something the admin is going to tolerate.

I am not saying he is right, I am not saying he is wrong. But honestly, would you guys put up with this shit if it were some assbag from jdmu pulling this crap on here? I highly doubt it.

Munster, I sent SIINSI an email today voicing my opinion on the situation. I haven't received a reply, don't really know if I ever will. That's about all I can do, unfortunately. :(
I don't think you're too heartbroken over it, but the situation should be rectified in my opinion. For what it's worth.

The problem with humanity is stupidity. Why can't we just take the warning labels off everything, and let the problem solve itself?

Thanks for the effort, and truthfully, it doesn't really matter if it is rectified or not. I don't want to be a member of a site where I'd have to walk on eggshells just because I'm associated with somewhere else. Thanks for trying, though.
