I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

(PS2) THAW, N4S: Most Wanted, and Solcom 3

Post by CivicSpoon » December 31, 2005

Got 3 new PS2 games for christmas, and now I haven't been getting out of the house almost at all (even more than usual, which is pretty bad). I got TH American Wasteland, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and Solcom 3, and figured I'd give my thoughts (because I'm bored, not because I think anyone will care :P)

American Wasteland...well...kind of sucks. But the way I look at it, it's kind of like THPS4. It's more of a transition game, of what's to come in the future for the series. I think they added way too many new moves and tricks, and the bike sucks ass. Also it only took me 3 days to beat the story mode (though it seems a little longer than the other games for some reason).

I'm currently playing N4S Most Wanted, not a horrible game. Basically you have to outrun cops most of the time and then race other people to get to the top 15 of the most wanted street racer list. But the cutscenes are good quality, most of them are of real video with added effects to almost make it look more animation. Though it does help that Josie Maran's in it :idb:

Then there's Solcom 3, what a hard ass game. I've never played any of the others in the series so the controls were a bit tricky to figure out (still don't know how to throw a grenade). But I ended up beating it in 3 days (first time around anyways). Haven't played online yet because I still need to get some cables to hook it up to my router. Online play was pretty much the only reason I wanted the game, so I need to get off my lazy ass soon.

I don't have one yet, but I'll post it up when I get everything up and running. I'm anticipating problems when I try to set up my router. Connection will be going through one router and then to my router, so I'm sure something will mess up (with my luck).
