I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Modern Marvels TV Show

Post by munster » December 21, 2005

Anyone else watch this show on the History Channel? They have the coolest stuff sometimes.

Some of the ones that stick out in my head are Modern Marvels: Custom Cars and Modern Marvels: Snack Food (on right now). Their heavy equipment and construction of certain landmarks are usually interesting.

Some Sr. VP of the company that owns Hostess was just saying that there's almost 2 million Twinkies eaten a day.

Only time I've seen it on, it's been the machinery like cranes and those big dirt movers. I've seen so many other programs on construction equipment (on discovery and tlc) that it just doesn't interest me anymore. I'll definently have to check out the other ones though.

BOMB THERE I FUCKING SAID IT! Hope they don't arrest me :)

anyhow, that modern marvel's show rocks, all those informative type documentaries on huge equipment and building projects interest me. Its amazing what we can do with some technology/machinery and deticated workers. Just look at the chunnel for example, that thing was a feat in itself. I always always always like to see new interesting buildings/bridges/dams/tunnels and a combination of any/all of them together, it just shows we are civilized enough to push architecture and engineering designs to the limits.

That's what I love about that show. The equipment and projects...including the process in completing the projects. One of the only shows that keeps my attention the whole way through.

You can't say bomb on the internet? Bomb bomb bomb. bomb bomb ba bomb.
