I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

only drawback i noticed from cingular.. they get you is with text messages and shit. they charge a pretty good grip for there plans, but they have nationwide and no roaming witch is nice. but u gotta pay extra for txt msg's and all that other stuff... verizon u got a little bit of everything with your plan.

i've had cingular for 4 years, and just signed another 2 year contract.
IMO ALL cell phone providers service (as far as call quality and signal) are going to be the same. Cingular has good customer service. I always get them to wave fees and stuff. I just got the Samsung SGH-d307 smartphone, can't wait to get it. Shipping here in a few days.

Personally, I'd stay away from the 2 in 1 combo phones (cell phone and mp3 or itunes). If a problem occurs with the phone, it may become even more of a problem. It's like buying a camcorder that has a digital camera built in, the camera will never take as good of pictures as a regular digital camera will. I'd buy a phone and then a cheap mp3 player before buying one of those combo phones, but that's just my personal opinion.
I used to work for Cingular right when they were switching over to GSM up here in NY. I'd get people who hated cingular and were looking to get out of their contracts, and then I'd get people saying they love their service. But I'd also hear people say the same things about every other company out there (pos and neg). But most of the time it was the phone they used that made them hate the service. If anything, spend the $ on the phone that will get you the best reception and good volume. When I had Sprint, I had the best phone (reception wise) that was ever made for their service (Sanyo 4900); as far as I'm concerned. But I was stubborn and wanted something with a camera. So when I got the new phone (Sanyo 8100; that was supposed to have the best reception of the ones I had to choose from), I couldn't even use it in my house.
I mean, don't let me talk you out of buying it or anything. Just thought I'd voice my opinion. But I'd definently wait until the W900i has been out long enough for people to do some reviews on it first. If I want info or ro read reviews on a phone, I usually go to http://www.phonescoop.com (good reviews for the 600, no reviews for the 900).

I have Cingular and I don't have any complaints at all about them. I have Nextel from work, and the phone doesn't work anywhere outside of town. There's alot more deadspots. There's also no options with phones.
I've heard that Cingular is changing their name back to AT&T. I don't know how much truth there is to that or what's going to change.
Jawn, talk to Carrie. Since she worked for both Nextel and AT&T...she knows what to look for and what not to look for. She has Verizon now just because Cingular screwed her over with maternity leave.
