My Winter Beater and My Next Project Car

So I bought this red DX a couple of months ago for $1000 for a winter beater, but the thing was so CLEAN, that I couldn't bring my self to drive it the snow/salt this winter. About a month ago the distributer shit the bed on it, and planning on pulling the motor in the spring (for an LS/VTEC that I am building this winter), I could't see spending the $$$ on a brand new dist. and I couldn't find a used one

So I came across this black SI and picked it up for $400 (rusty as fuck, needs an alternater, needs brakes, big ass rip in the drivers seat, and it has tint

)

Switched the front bumpers and put the alter. from the red one in the black one, and got it running ( in the rain ........I LOVE NY ) on wednesday........doing the brakes on sunday!

Now I don't have to drive the red one in the winter

haha. That's awesome.

So to sum it up...you bought the black one so you could steal the alternator giving you a reason not to drive the red one this winter. Awesome.

GODDAMMIT WHY CAN'T I FIND ANY DEALS ON EF'S AROUND WHERE I LIVE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Fuckers around my area are asking like 3 grand for a CRX in semi-decent condition. And the cheapest EF hatch I found for sale was an 89 DX with probably the WORST case of rust I've ever seen. The guy was asking for about 1000 bucks and the floorpanels were about to fall out from rust damage............

Sorry, had to vent. Good find on the Si and that red hatch is hella clean. I'm jealous
