Some people are just ridiculous....I am talking on anny's sn to one of her friends about her boyfriends car...supposedly he is in http://www.teamkallusive.com This conversation is about his supercharger...I question peoples intellect at times.

baybie x anny: i dont know of a supercharger that is at 10psi with stock pulleys

Waddles: or something else.. he get this one thing and he can still boost 10 psi.. but that cots like the 4,000

baybie x anny: there are pullies for a supercharger, and there are pullies for the engine. They have nothing to do with each other.
baybie x anny: The pullies on the supercharger run the belt.
baybie x anny: If you get larger ones, it allows you to run more boost.
baybie x anny: The only reason you would replace pullies on an engine is to decrease rotational mass.
baybie x anny: these two have nothing to do with each other, and most engine pullies do away with the harmonic balancer, causing your crankshaft to have alot of play in it due to engine vibration - new pullies are usually not a good idea on daily drivers

baybie x anny: getting a larger pully for the supercharger belt will do NOTHING for his engine to be able to handle more boost.
baybie x anny: It will simply allow him to run more boost if desired with the supercharger
Waddles: all i know.. is the outcome would make him boost what he normally should

I know there is a way to run two seperate boosts with a supercharger, but I was keeping it simple for her

wow.. i always thought you ran smaller pulleys for more boost on a supercharger... i guess i was wrong. thanks forgiving me some information on supercharges... good post

think about it....larger pully would make it spin slower if anything...

or if wer are talkin about the drive pully or what?

cus the pully on the sc would want to be smaller to spin it faster iwth a larger pully goin to the smaller one correct?

question kind of off-topic:

How much smaller does the pulley need to be, lets say, to go up 1 psi...is there a set amount, or does it depend on the blower?
