I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Introducing the first OC-T to Teh JDM

Post by PoorBoY » October 10, 2005

Hi, my name is Colin. I have followed a few people here from a closely-knit forum for people from Wisconsin called HiRevWi.com. I was first turned onto the scene when I bought my first REAL car, which was a 1990 Time Bomb GST, otherwise known as a DSM. I was on that forum for a while and heard from a few friends about this site and decided to move here now that it is on the edge of its demise. I have owned 4 cars since I was 16, which has been close to 3 years. I have been working on them for about that long also but not as heavily as of late. I work the most on friend’s cars out of the goodness of my heart and the shallowness of my own pockets. I have usually been to poor to be able to upgrade my own cars too heavily so I haven't done nearly as much work on my own cars compared to theirs. The last sentence has little to nothing to do with my name, my handle on HiRev was "PoorBoysGST" and I thought I would shorten it. I am always willing to lend a helping hand, so give me a call or a message, my number and sn are in my profile. I work for free, but food is nice. I now own a 1998 Honda Civic EX, it is bone goddamn stock right now but the money and parts are accumulating for its makeover this winter. I will post pics when I do get around to it. I guess that is about it for now. As for the title, OC-T is an inside joke from the old forum, so I think this will be the last reference to it I will make here... probably. I hope for a warm welcome and a great time, thanks for having me everyone!
I AM LOOKING FOR SOME ONE WHO CAN PHOTO SHOP ME A SIG(I'm looking at you Josh!)

Sweet shit Colin! Thanks for comin over to thejdm, i'm sure once you start postin a bit you'll learn to love this site as much as you did HIREVwi. Your an awesome guy bro, I sure as hell miss all the kick ass times we had in Electronics (LOL GARRETT!!!) and we sure need to start hangin out. Your car will sure progress bro, I think you'll find a loving for your car as you do more shit to it, and want to keep it. I thought i'd never see the day where i'd practically cry over the loss of a car, but at this point, if I totalled my hatch beyond repair.. I probobly would. Hit me up some time and we can go get a photoshoot of your coupie for your sig and for the site!

Thanks alot Josh, you are a good friend. I hope to see you more now that I go to school not too far from where you live. Cyber Center some night next week? I'll get Paul and Steve to go, and we can go there and yell at nerds. Hmm?

Thanks for the welcome Jeff.

Hmm, I could try, I work way to fucking much, it blows ass. But we do have to hang out some time and yell at nerds before I ship out. I'll see if I can manage to get some moola for a night at cc.
