I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

if i were u i wouldnt do b20 vtec..id do lsvtec or sumthin easier...it sounds like uve never heard of b20 vtec from your original question...b20 vtecs dont last that long either...and if u do go b20 vtec just so u kno you wont be allowed to take the rpms past 8 regularly...ive known a couple ppl with b20 vtecs there great power but they arent worth it unless u have money for them and knowledge of them...so yeah go lsvtec or boost a b16...which ever way u go good luck

i am going to have to disagree with you, doing a b20 VTEC is the same process for doing an LSVTEC and when built properly you can take both past 8k

i'd go for the ef hatch, lighter than the integra and cooler than the 4 door, put either head on whatever you can get, the b20 and ls share the same crank and rods. just thinner sleeves due to the 84mm bore, thats why theyre "unsafe". i have flat head valves, my head its milled .030 and a 2 layer headgasket on my gsr motor and it runs fine. but it really depends on how much money you have and who is building it, it can produce good power if built right and tuned, if you dont know what your doing and doing it yourself i wouldnt do it.
