I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

The vastmajority of unemployed, or low income families in that region are Black... these people were not able to afford transportation out of the city prior to the hurricane, little effort was made to protect them prior the hurricane, the bus system used to evacuate people post hurican that the local government of new orleans had been given money to put in place was destroied...
It would appear to the people most hurt by this disaster that the united states and local governments neglected them. I belive this is in fact true... do I belive it was because of their skin? no, because of their wallet? yes, do I belive that statisticly black people make less money that white people? yes, so is it connected that indirectly through racism the population of minorities, specifically blacks were most effected by this? Yes.
I also belive that when put in a situation, no power, running water, potable water, sanitary homes, acess to easy medical services, lack of personal space, lack of comfort and the list goes on... People turn into animals... that is what we are at heart, animals.
Do you honestly belive that there was no looting in the post tsunami countries? You are a fool to think that is the case,
the concept of environmental discrimination (which I explained earlier) is in fact a theory... but you cannot deny that there is a direct correlations between the most impovershed being most effected by the tsunami, and the most impovershed being minorities.
If you belive the above said statement to be untrue... you are wrong.
but perhaps it was lost to your anger.
p.s. this is completly off topic of this forum. Next time you should post in the bamboo fighting pit, because as far as I am know, what you have said is about 80% opinion and nonfactual.

I bet if you put people in a frantic situation, re-gardless of social class, they would loot useless shit.temp wrote:to what degree? i mean food/water/sanitary things, maybe even clothes, but TVs? guns? fuck no. one of my friends last night tried to use the excuse that its a poor area.....so fucking what? i dont see poor people around here going ape shitbanzai wrote:crime is necessary
If I was looting walmart and I ran across a ipod, or a laptop... I am not gonna ignore it cause I dont wanna steal for a bad reason. I would take it.
And as far as I am conceered based on the conditions in new orleans right now... I would be in posession of a firearm asap. They barley have marshal law
you do understand that the only reason that they barely have martial law is because the fucking people are acting like idiots. the only reason you would be "in posession of" a firearm is because apparently "poor" people dont know how to actbenjamin wrote:I bet if you put people in a frantic situation, re-gardless of social class, they would loot useless shit.temp wrote:to what degree? i mean food/water/sanitary things, maybe even clothes, but TVs? guns? fuck no. one of my friends last night tried to use the excuse that its a poor area.....so fucking what? i dont see poor people around here going ape shitbanzai wrote:crime is necessary

FACT people reacted to the natural disaster like fucking idiots
FACT if lethal force was used, it was obviously justified due to the fact above
i still do not agree with the fact that gov't purposely delayed any attempt at help simply because the people were "poor and black". i am sure that i could pull up some stuff within the 20th century where there was a "slow" reaction from the govt for white people too. this race card is bullshit, people play it all the time and i would say that 90% of the time its irrelevant to the matter at hand. and now in this country white people are becoming the minority, so does that mean its socially acceptable for a white person to say "its because i am white that you are doing such and such" HELL NO, that person would be immediately under fire, and anyone who ever plays the "race card" should be dead anyway because its fucking disgusting THIS day in age. People are so quick to call someone a racist (oh wait, lets say a WHITE person a racist, because if an asian/black/blah blah blah person hates another race, they are never called racist....hmmm WTF is that?) because they have no other way of arguing the matter in a logical way. People should learn to help each other and stop quibbling over stupid fucking differences. AND, all i could do is laugh at the anarchy that ensued because it just went to show how UNCIVILIZED this nation really is
