I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

i think the A3 would make more HP with boost since its the baby K series, just like the B18 Ls motor. i just wanna figure out equations to make my EG a K series Beast.

If i had the Type S or Type R then it would be n/a with out question. So i was thinkin boost the baby and sell it or trade it for an (S) or (R) i love n/a. boost is great but i love hearing an all motor beast, rather then boost any day. quote me on that.

it really depends on what you want out of the engine. Any boosted motor will need more fuel and a way to manage that extra fuel. Therefore larger flowing injectors are a must, as is a fuel pump. You will also need a larger MAP sensor, since the stock one can only take one bar of boost. Either a piggyback ecu such as Hondata or a full replacement like the AEM EMS (which rocks) will be needed and a good tuner to go along with it. If you want to boost above the set limit of your turbo (if the wastegate is internal) you will need a boost controller. Appropriate gauges would be a wideband o2 (if you have the money), or an EGT, boost gauge, oil pressure, and a/f gauge if the wideband is not available - are all gauge possibilities, Stronger head studs would be a good idea. Depending on the compression of the engine that you will be boosting you might look into different pistons, or a thicker head gasket (although I prefer stock now). the turbo, manifold, and appropriate oil lines and what not are a given. Buy the trim of the turbo by what you expect out of the engine. And so on and so forth.

It really depends if you want 250 whp or 400 whp or 300 whp or if your just looking for a budget build. Most people that havent riden in a 250+ whp car that weighs 2500 lbs are very surprised and what that little amount of power feels like. I know I was. Good Luck!

+/- 250 to the wheels is what i wanna get outta my A3 which i think would be in reach. after all the fuel and sensor upgrades how much boost "ballpark" would i have to run through it. i wanna do this just all little more than a budget turbo. (do as much as i can w/o blowing my motor) mind u i wanna supercharge, to hell with LAG.
