I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

you have a wiper? yeah cool... now think please... CF is meant for weight reduction... and uhmmm what's the use of putting a rear wiper on a friggin racecar?

RIGHT...

so they made it for show... :(
why would any one put a wing on their "race car" (a crx) anyways, if they were trying to keep the weight off??? :blah:

the light weight aspect of CF is great for race for REPLAACEMENT parts such as a hood or fenders etc. NOT for and additional part such as a wing or a dash kit etc.

don't start the STUPID rear wing argument again... if you don't know why a wing IS a good thing on a FWD car, you have no right of talking about it...

and lemme guess.. you're one of the MANY scared peepz that think a CRX gets twitchy and 'light' over 100mph?

that's the "got no wing" for ya... put one on and hit 140 without any feelings of discomfort...

i had this exact setup and it was the biggest waste of money. because of vis's low ass quality standard and th fact that the sparco hood pins seem to be made of a low grade aluminum i am running a beat ass stock sheetmetal si-r hood.

the fiberglass (fucking pisses me off that at teh point in time when i had mine all cf wasn't available) understructure got enough pressure on it from highway driving that it started to seperate from the top layer. once it had seperated the only thing that hood pins needed to tear through was teh cf/gelcoat layer and the fibergalss layer. they stared getting throught the first layer when i saw the hood shimmying. then i saw teh hood pin pieces that gets mounted to the hood go flying off and tehn the hood through my windshield. this occured within 100miles of installation. fuck vis. when i go out to cali i am going to buy a jhp hood since those are actually decent. (and a password lip).

sorry for putting down your new toy but i feel i should let people know of a poor quality product and deter tehm from wasting their money and getting burned by the company that produced it like i did.
i miss my hondas.

No more arguing about wing, no wing.

Kyle, that sucks. I had a similar experience with locking hood pins (the ones with a barrel key) on my last car. You can't tell from a casual glance whether or not the hood is locked down, and since I had removed the latch, as soon as I hit 50 it came up into the windshield. S'all good though. I bought my CRX the next day.

have you ever actually held a CRX hood or fenders and then held its FG or CF replacement? there is no difference in weight that you can feel with just your arms
