I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

snif snif SCAM

That is down here near tampa. Well lemme put it this way. FLA laws are a lot different than most others and in FLA there are a LOT of ways they can get out of paying you.
Everyone else is just blood in the water.

i know that if the speed is calculated by VASCAR (the speed trap lines), you can get out of it 90% of the time. Well, not completely but either the points or the fine itself is taken away, i think the points are, but i'm not real sure. Anyway, all you have to do is fight it in court and just explain that it has to do with quite a few variables .... Point of view while looking at lines | location of trooper, reaction times for stop watch, etc. I've never had to try it out, but my old physics teacher said there's no reason why it wouldn't work, and i don't see a reason either.
If you think about it, a wide awake, fresh-on-the-job trooper is theoretically going to have a better reaction time than a groggy, let's-get-home-already trooper. And where you're standing has everything to do with how you see the lines on the road too.
ehh, i lost my train of thought .... you guys get the idea tho

troopers do not use vascar in PA they use daily calibrated radar. Fighting a trooper is futile in 99.9% of cases. Most times if you fight a ticket in PA you can get the cop to go to a §3111(a) of Title 75 -- "Obedience to traffic-control device". Jawn can back up I know what I am talking about because being an EMT I worked veru closely with the cops. The above stated offense bears a $92 fine and 0 points. It also will not be reported to your insurance company.

well, that may be true in most parts of PA ... but in duncansville|hollidaysburg|altoona they use it. In fact, the ticket I recieved had vascar marked. And up until recently, they weren't allowed to carry radars ... and if i'm not mistaken, only staties can carry them around here.

I use the turnpike on my way home from school (Millersville, PA-- outside Lancaster) to Johnstown and ive done 90 past staties and havnt gotten pulled over. I duno why the speed limit is 65 I have had them pull out behind me and follow me for a bit, but thats when im doing 75. Its really weird.

extreme speed situations are to be avoided due to safety reasons. And oomusk you are right. Troopers are state officers. Locals either use vascar or robotic.
