I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

I dont know how you do it...I just dislike running I guess. I havent run in so long i cant even remember the last time and when I did i know it was not for any long distance. I tried running the other night at the gym, ran .25 miles and my shins were on fire! (Embarrassing, I know  ) I ended up just walking the rest of the mile brisky and on an incline 8)

just gotta get into a zone. I space out when I run, by the time I snap out of it I'm usually 5 miles deep.

You can't just start off with a run you need a warm up you need a good brisk walk before ya go out there and run or jog it out. Also you need to make sure you are in good form. If you over extend your legs and don't keep your knees bent your prone for injury or burning shins and calfs ;)

Also a shoe can play a big part in your burning shins but more then likely you just need to ease into the run. Have a smart phone? Check out the "get running" app it's a couch to 5k program. Like an interval training. I been using it for years it really helps.

My sister is signed up for two tough mudders. I know one is in the Poconos in May. The other is in April.

John, I'm running in the Run for your Lives. It's at Switchback MX Park in Butler.

Nice. Who's all coming with you? I didn't sign up yet I'm guessing they are doing different heats. The motm is a heat every 20 minutes.

It's not like I ran 8 or 10 miles the first day I hopped on a treadmill...it takes time.

Yeah the one in May was already filled up and the one in April thats close is up around the cleveland area. They have one scheduled for Pittsburgh in 2013 but no exact date or location yet.

Yeah i figured haha one thing i hate though is running on the treadmill...i find it easier for me to run outside where i feel actually going somewhere with the effort i put forward haha

I started running on the beach when I lived a mile or so from it....now I'm further inland, and kind of wanted to get a little muscle too. So I joined a gym. meh, it's probably a waste in the end, treadmills do suck. I much rather run somewhere.
