I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Yeah i had to roll front and rear. I didnt roll flat, just enough to not rub. I dont plan on rolling flat eventually but for right now its just fine. Also it depends on the tire setup you run. If i would have run a 225 i probably wouldnt have had to roll nearly as much.

damn i went back through this thread cause i got a small itch to do at least something with my wrx this summer. i forgot you picked up 04/5 tails and sti seats for 150$ !!!

help me find tails (& seats if possible) for a steal!!
the tails are 1 thing i would love to change out this year. also thinking about picking up the STI rear bumper and rear over fenders possibly.
but the tails are a MUST.

would like to lower it and put a super aggressive wheel setup on it as well but that will come with time. also im probably going to ditch this cw style lip for a vlimited/sti style. cars a daily so im not even bothered by putting on the "style" stuff. with my civic its a whole different story.

i love coming back to this thread and looking @ your wrx, actually makes me want to piss with mine haha.

oh, and when i say aggressive fitment. im just gonna go big or go home..

so here is what im currently dealing with:

Had the car tuned back in march. CEL came on about a month ago, had it checked and it came up as the p2096, post cataylst lean. Had the code cleared and was running fine. Talked to the tuner and he said to see what happens and if it came up again to have it checked and we'd go from there. well it the CEL light came on and i just cleared it without checkin thinking it would go away again and would be a problem. Well it came back after less then 20 miles of driving, so i cleared it to see how soon it would come back, again it wasnt long, cleared it, tried again and just let it ideal and it came on. So i went and had the code checked again and what came up was a surprise to me...No code found.

Also along with all this i was told that it was being to smoke some out of the exhaust and i could smell burnt oil. So i took the car to the dealership to have a tech run diagnostics on it to see if they could find a problem, they tell me they found no codes (after i already informed them of this) told me they cleared it and seemed to be running fine and that my current tune was probably to blame.

Well about 3 miles down the road just as i was getting back to my apartment...CEL is back. Didnt have the code, just parked it for the night.

Does anyone have any insight as to what my be causing all this? Initial i assumed it was a bad O2 sensor but when it read, "no code found" i began to think maybe it is somethine more. Would a bad head gasket be the cause for all this or at least some of it? Any would be much appreciated.

Well I found out while back that the misfire issues I was having with the subie arr most likely due to a cracked ring landing. In trying to solve the issue I had the plugs and coil packs replaced. While at the shop they did a compression test and the #4 cyclinder ess only.reading 70...the rest were all 140-145. For all I know I bought the car this way because it was always throwin the CEL occassionally but I just figured it was due to not having a proper tune. Once I.got it tuned the CEL did not come back but one time. Then all the sudden it started happening alot.

So I think i've decided to finally bite the bullet and get it the bottom end rebuilt. I had been getting the car out and drivi.g it easy ever once in awhile but lately it sucks just walking back and forth past it in the garage all the time. I think im just gonna go the rebuild route and try to do it on somewhat of a budget...i could just throw in a stg 1 sti shortblock but thats gonna cost me around 6500 and I cant justify paying that when I could just sell or trade in the car and get something nee instead. I'll keep ya posted on how things go.

seeing all these recent build going on here and builds my other friends are doing has really started to pressure me into getting the subi rebuilt....so its happening.

Plans are to do a short block build. EJ25 STi short block with coated CP Forged pistons, Manley Rods, ACL bearings, ARP headstuds, Cometic Headgasket, and Hondata IM Gaskets. Also gonna upgrade to the 11mm STi oil pump and replace the water pump and timing belt as well. A local shop here in Ohio actually builds the short blocks in house so there really wont be too much down time. Would like to run a FMIC but we'll see, not really a must have right now.
