I didn't want to let it out of the bag yet mostly because I am still scoring parts for it. I really don't like the engine in my miata. Mostly because it is the 1.6 shortnose that will sheer off the crankbolt at about any time it feels like and I don't want to mod it to have that happen and just have to start over. I bought a 91 Eagle Talon just for its motor/ecu/wiring harness and will be putting that in to the miata with it mated up to a transmission from a non-turbo supra (w58) and a custom bell housing. At first I wanted to go with a rwd 3sgte, but that is pretty much impossible. The 4g63 was my next choice and there is a guy that builds custom bell housings for a bunch of different transmissions to mate the the 4g63. I have always loved the motor and thought, why the hell not. I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. Last night, went to bed at 10pm and work up at 2am. Went to work and got home and then went to bed at noon. Planned on sleeping until 4pm, but apparently we had some storms and lost power. Woke up at 8pm. WTF! Going to sleep in 20 minutes to try to reset this.
WAY to much sleep. At least next week I will be on a normal schedule.
