I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

2004 wrx, not what i expected

Post by Smeltej25 » January 25, 2004

my friend just got a new wrx so we went for a ride in it, and i wasnt extremely impressed...
i told him to floor it, but im not sure if he really did or not, and it seemed that the car pulled just as hard as my legacy, which really was weird, cause how could a 227hp car pull like a 165hp car?
it was dark so i couldnt really see if they floored it or not, hes not into racing or going fast or anything like that, so he might not have really tried

oh yeah, its an automatic as well :[

It'll easily pull away from a Legacy or any EJ25 car that's stock or lightly modded.

An old friend of mine had a WRX, and I wasn't too impressed either. Pulled hard out of the hole, but it seemed like that was it. No real top end.

It was definitely fun in twisties, though.

I love my dads `04 WRX, BUT, the only fast car other than this that ive driven was a `97 Camarro Z28..and that wasnt much faster if at all, but i also have to put into consideration that the dick i stole it from (stepdad) got an automatic. ps, he never knew i took it for a joy ride, hahahaha

i found out that the auto wrx can run a 15.2 in the quarter mile and the 5spd can run a 14.3, or better(if you rev to 6000 and dump the clutch, but youll only be able to pull off one run like that) so there is quite a big difference in the two, it kind of surprised me
some people say that my car can pull a 16.2 stock, but i kind of doubt that
