I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

2004 accord idle higher

Post by robopat » May 12, 2010

hey ,I have a problem and I hope someone can help me.I had my car park for 5 month and I didn`t make it run regularly Now is back on the road but the idle is too high and is going up and down ,The gas tank was full .so I use a fuel system treatment and I cleaned the trottle body but i still get the 0507 code for idle higher then normal. With that code I can get the emmision inspection pass. Here in NY they are really tough with that.I hope somebody knows about this.Thanks.

so im guessing the idle is fluxuating. its up then its down its up then its down like you are tapping the gas then off it then tapping again real quick? how high is it going?

eh. usually the gas wont have much effect on the idle like that.

i tried looking up the 0507 code but came up with nothing.
have u used the CEL flashing light trick?

here is a list of CEL codes and obd2 "p" scanner codes. maybe i missed the 0507 code in the list but you can check.
