I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Is it EBP? I'm really only interested in getting an EBP one, cause trying to paint match EBP is a bitch! lol

I figured I'd get started on my bay, Chase Bays said their clutch line is out of stock till thursday, and my braided loom is on backorder till the 30th, so I just got to work on my drivers side harness, and removing AC and PS.

So first, I relocated the battery to the back, removed AC and PS Image Pulled the headlight to mess with the wiring Image Also removed the fender since the wiring will be going along side of it...I also cleaned it up a bit, it was NASTY Image Removed the windshield cowl so I could re-route the one plug that goes to my wipers Image Tore apart all the stock loom and wiring tape Image Shoved the whole harness inside the car so I could mess with it in there to re route it Image Then gave the right side a little repsray with some EBP paint Image Image Lots more work to do, but thats all I got done today!

Tomorrow's project is:
Finish drivers side wiring, pull off the stock clutch line, relocate the fuse box to my glove box, and remove my complete engine harness and remove all the stock tape and loom so it can be ready for my new braided loom and heatshrink. I'll post pics as I update!

Oh I also just ordered a mini pipe cutter and a 37 degree flare kit so I can get rid of my stock fuel filter and lines for a braided steel setup with an inline filter. It should be sick!

Nice mang!

Well got some more progress done to the bay

Relocated my reservoir, fit great and doesnt mess with the bumper fitment Image Image Used black braided line for the hose Image Image Image Image Tucked my OE foglight harness, thats the ground over there, so I dont have to use the one on the radiator support Image I have to keep the washer fluid, so I tucked the hose lol Image Image Image Got my headlight harness completely tucked along with the HID ballast Image Image Routed everything along the fender liner Image Got my side marker harness all ready to go Image Image Then I started to work on the plug for my wipers, so I drilled a small hole, cut the harness Image Shoved the wires through, then reconnected them with soder, heatshrink and electrical tape, then plugged it on in Image Image Routed the two wires that go to my brake fluid reservoir through there also, and then used the stock plug to seal the hole around the two wires and the windshield sprayer line Image Image Cowl back on and you can barely tell! Image More to come for tomorrow!

Coming along very nicely. It appears as though you are extending the the harness with the same color coded wires. Where did you buy the wire kit from?

Thanks! I haven't extended one wire to be honest. I took off all the loom and tape, and it free'd up more wire to play around with. The only cut/splice I've done is the wiper plug, which didnt have to extend :)

Well, I ripped out my engine harness and I sat at my barstool and got to work. At this step, I'm just taking off all the OEM clips, electrical tape and loom. As I do that, I slowly labeled all the clips to tell me what goes to what.

I'll be making a diagram of all the wires and which color goes to what on each clip, so I can start depinning them and re-looming them in my new loom.
Image Image Got my 37 degree flaring tool and mini pipe cutter cause I'm getting rid of the stock fuel filter and lines and adapting a inline filter along with braided steel lines. Image Removed my stock fuel setup and clutch line, waiting for my parts from chasebays and anplumbing! Image Image Then I tucked the main vacuum hose cause it was bothering me sticking up.. Image Image Thats about it though! I need my other crap to come in the mail for me to basically do anything else lol. I also ordered all the OEM plugs for my firewall yesterday so it can clean the bay up a bit more.
