I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Re: Idle Problems
Yea matt I will look into that Wideband...(if I get the money)
Re: Idle Problems
Hahaha man that really aint worth the extra bills. Unless you really want the bling, or don't want to have a gauge always in the car. I'd look into an Innovative wbo2

1993 RHD Impreza : Brembo : Zeal : Whiteline : Prodrive : Enkie : Cusco'd out
Re: Idle Problems
NO. No Innovate, they're cheap but almost everyone has issues with sensors.
Re: Idle Problems
Eh, I never did, lol.
Re: Idle Problems
If I had a nickel for every time I read "so then I got rid of my LC1 and never looked back" on miataturbo.net I'd have, like, some money.

Re: Idle Problems
Ok, so this morning was a total waste of money and time.
I replaced the IACV $160 and of course the car got warm and started surging again....so that's not the problem. I can almost hear what might be a vacuum leak but I am not sure. I have gone thru like 3 cans of carb cleaner and only found that one leak on the injector....I will try again this afternoon.
Josh, don't think for one second that I am mad at you for saying it was the IACV, This is for you
....you were not the only one who said that's what it was, i have had a few other people tell me, so I went with it....
Now you guys have mentioned something about checking the EGR....how does one do that? Also, I know there is a way to test the ignition coils with an OHMs meter....does anyone know what those settings are supposed to read....I guess you can test a new one and then test the old ones and see if they match up...I may do that I saw that Autozone had one in stock...
I just hope it doesn't come down to this;

I say clean the fuck outta that IACV, and return the bitch, tell em you didn't need it. IMO
As far as checking the EGR, I wrote a couple posts back how to do it, but i'm not 100% sure where it is on your car to be honest.
Sorry about your luck man, I hate issues like these, I had the same issue on my last civic, like, the EXACT same thing, I replaced the IACV, the TPS, fuel filter, plugs, wires, air filter, ALL the vacuum lines, just to find out that it was the fucking throttle body gasket, which I replaced with a $5 piece of cork gasket paper from AutoZone, I was so mad.
I'm not too sure about the coil packs, i've never had to fuck with them

Re: Idle Problems
Yea thanks mang. I was trying yesterday to find a vacuum leak but couldn't get the can in the proper angles. I need a friggin lift...maybe i can do it when I get back....I did however get the codes to clear...all but the p0505 and a p0132....that code is gay.....i will try to replace that gasket when I get back from this patrol....The boat owes me some time off...But hey josh look at the bright side of all those parts you bought....you know they were brand new when you sold the car....

Re: Idle Problems
OK, so it seems that all the problems are back. I can not find a vacuum leak...ANYWHERE!!!!I just got some gasket material and I am going to replace the throttle body gasket tonight or tomorrow. I did notice today that the MAP sensor sits directly on the intake manifold. It seems that it somehow is connected to the manifold from underneath somehow.....It however is sitting on there loose. My guess is that is how it reads your air....
