I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Forza VS Grand Tourismo

Post by tenchu » November 14, 2009

Okay. Continuing a debate from a previous thread. Which do you like better, and why?

My vote goes to Forza. I played GT 1-4 before playing Forza (1) for the first time. I fell in love with Forza after that. I prefer PS to XBOX any day, quality wise. PS3 has superior graphics to 360, and a better quality system (you don't hear about people's PS3s burning up everyday like the 360). BUT, the 360 is so fakin easy to crack, so games are cheap (yes, thats kinda illegal, lol...). But another PS3 vote goes to online play. Free for PS3, but you have to pay for XBOX Live. Game catalog goes to XBOX. Vast variety of games for the 360 vs PS3 only a few i'd actually play, most of which are on the XBOX also.

Back on topic. I loved the GT series, don't get me wrong. But I love the vast variety of mods available in Forza, I think that the "driving experience" in Forza is substantially greater, GT seemed like you could only drive the way you wanted to drive... More cars in Forza, more customization of difficulty in Forza... etc

finally got a copy of forza 3 on black friday. yeah its really good i enjoy it. need a good force feedback steering wheel now, something with a clutch would be amazing.

still waiting for GT to come out on ps3. i was going to buy prologue but i cant see spending the money on less then 1/2 of a game, ha.

Yeah it would be nice if they had a steering wheel with a clutch. Even the "official" steering wheel you have to use the buttons for a clutch.

logitech makes one but its not 360 compatible. the only compatible wheel is the official microsoft one  with lack of a built in network card and only being able to use microsoft accessories, xbox is starting to suck for me. games deff pretty good though, but the new GT looks redic.

Yeah if it wasn't for the vast catalog of games that the 360 has, I think it would have ZERO sales. I mean shit, you have to pay for Live, doesn't have built in wireless support, RRoD, E74 Error, the controllers are like bricks, the headset design is garbage (compared to PS3's bluetooth). Just a few things.

Really. The fact that I have 22 games, 19 of which were free, is really the only reason I own a 360, LOL.

haha. its fun and all my friends have it. i love my ps3 but the console wars will drag on forever. im not bias, i like both there is games for ps3 only that i love and vice versa. im surprised the tekken series went to 360, that boggles my mind.

i want to pick up tekken 6 soon though. im a huge fan of that series. and like i said im so freaking pumped for GT.

by the way i found a wheel/pedal setup thats compatable with both ps3 and 360. 2 bad the pricetag is insane and u have to buy the wheel separate from the pedals.

This is why I stayed away from the Xbox and 360 from the start. It's not the first time MS is trying to achieve a monopoly..
