My mod chip does the trick just fine! I had someone else flash my xbox, and now the firmware is out dated so it wont play the newer games (COD:MW2, etc). So I just ordered the tools I need to flash my drive (I got the fucking pain in the ass Lite-On drive, lucky me!)

edit: i have had the best luck using the following parts

western digital my passport hard drive

sandisk sd card (normal, none of the extreme stuff). like this

the sd card is the realllllll shitty part. you can get cards that work great, cards that work part of the time and cards that dont work at all. these are the parts that i have used and had 0 problems with so i recommend them.
