socom confrontation.

just picked this up today at our slowly clearing out circuit ciry along with the ps3 BR remore.

brought it home, got the headset bluetooth to finally sync. (didnt hold the power button long enough to take it into sync mode) installed the game software, booted the game, asked to dload a ps3 software update, ok so i do that takes about 15-20 minutes. reboots system. boot the game again, asks to download a socom update this time. that starts, and i wait.. and wait.. and wait.. so i get sick of waiting and watched the movie 21 (awesome movie) update is finally done, 1.5-2 hours later! WTF!

now its almost midnight and im about to head to be. ill play tomorrow i guess.

anyone else have a ps3 and this socom game? im on PSN as frightmare- look for me. yes thats a - after my name. im going to get back in the groove of things on socom i used to play that religiously. ill probably end up starting a thejdm clan.

i cant remember if we did or not. i played alot with that da9_chingy when he was on here alot we had a thejdm clan on socom 3.

funny story.
year and years ago back before the network adaptor was released for ps3. a buddy of mine and i were at a walmart (before i boycott the place) in another town a few miles from here. we were checking out the games and socom was JUST released and we seen these weird looking black things in yellow packaging. there was 3 of them. so we asked the guy at the counter and he said he had no idea what they were or a price or anything. they were mis-shipped to the walmart and since they were on the floor he told us they had to get rid of them. he sold them to us for 30 bucks (i think he pocketed the money, because nothing showed on the register except 'sale') and we picked up socom. turns out frank (my buddy) and i were 2 of the 5 original people online on socom 1. the other 3 were beta testing and they asked how the hell we got online with the game the network adapter wasnt to launch for another 2 or 3 months. we told them our story and we all had a chuckle. so we beta tested the game with these other guys and sony sent frank and i a bunch of demos and crap for a few months after that.

how is gt5p? i cant wait for the damn finial release.


btw. i still have yet to play the new socom, buddy at work let me borrow ea nhl 09. been playing that all night. ill get to socom soon enough.

been playing this game alot. got an HDMI cable for my ps3 finally and it made a HUGE difference.

i still need to get into the swing of things on the game but whatever. i play for fun and i hate jumping into games where people take it way 2 seriously.
