I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

NHRA Nationals

Post by 30stones » August 17, 2008

Got tickets and vip passes to the NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove. Free food and drinks at the tent  Figured i'd share some pics with you guys. I've never been to one of these shows before but for the first time it was awsome. If anyone gets a chance to go i suggest going. I was never really into these cars but they're amazing. Top fuel, nitro and funny cars. nitro cars running high 3 second passes over 300mph is pretty intense loud as hell. we sat about 3 rows back in the middle of the track and when they would fly past us your entire body would shake and feels like your eye balls were going to pop out.

I always watch top fuel. Definitely worth it to see in person too. I haven't been to a race in a few years, though.

Did you get to see them do a tear down on a block?

yeah when we went back to the tent for lunch they just got done with their first pass and they were ripping it all apart. they had that thing apart and back together in no time. ridiculous how fast they get things done.
