I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

In the market for a new camera

Post by TURBevO8 » April 17, 2008

Hello all. I am in the market for a new camera and I dont know shit about them nowadays. I am looking for the best bang for the buck for $200 or less and care more about still photos than video and other bells and whistles. I am open to any and all suggestions. I am sure some of you have seen the phone pics I have posted of my car and it is just sad. My old camera is broke and I am ready to upgrade anyway. Thanks guys!!!

Just go to Target and buy something for $200. I think they should all be pretty similar at that amount.

Yeah I just know that when you go to places and look at only a price range you might be able to get a 5MP or a 9MP for the same price. So without doing my research I just thought I would throw this thread out there and see what peoples thoughts' were.

Nah. I am not looking to spend $450 on a camera. I will only use it a few times a year so I dont need anything that great. I am setting the limit at $250 but looking to spend closer to $200. I know there are a lot of great cameras out there now for that price. I was hoping someone would say that one is better than the rest in that price range. Also I am really trying to save for a house now so I need to be as thrifty as possible for the next couple months. :)

Find a few models and compare them to find the one you like best
