I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

So, hoping everything comes today. Put the valve springs in last night, talk about a pain in the ass. first the tool i got from autozone didnt work, so i custom fabbed a wrench and put it inside a socket with and extension and pushed on the fucker til i got it low enough to get the retainers on. either way 2 hours later i got everything done and some how managed to keep all my fingers. But it's all ready to go in now
My lovely tool

needless to say the 150$ snapon tool would have probally done it in about 20 min but i was so pissed about the tool i got from autozone not working i decided to improvise

Sunday March 9th is the day for the Build. got the shift covered so were good on that day. Billy, talk to john, he said he's in so you guys could/should ride out together. I got Food and Beer covered, tell Hock if he wants to come thats cool to, you guys just have to figure out ride arrangements
One thing thats got me in a bind though. I cant get my Crank Pulley(pulley that is on the end that runs the PS and ALT belt.) off. I already have the H23 head off so i have nothing keeping it from spinning and i figured putting it in gear might keep it from spinning to get it off but it stil spins. How can i get this thing off ?!?!? is there a tool i can get?

Yes you need to buy a crank puller to pull the pulley off, or atleast that's been my experience with the stuff I've done at work. If I'm wrong someone please correct me, but there is a special tool you can buy to get it off in no time.

1/2" drive impact gun, air is your friend.
I had to pull off some stuff and transfer it from a 2JZ (IS300 needed a new motor) and I forgot how I got the crank pulley off... We used the puller and air!!! I can't really remember though, I'll ask tomorrow at work and see if one of the guys I work with can give me more details on how to...

wish i had a compressor but i dont. gonna try taking the wrench and just take the rubber mallet i got to it and hope i can jolt it enough to work it free, also might have a buddy of mine come over and i will take and wrap the pulley with a rag or something and hold it while someone cranks on it. if i cant get it off this weekend though i might need to have you bring that tool out next sunday if you think you can. Other than that FINALLY got everything ordered but the ECU. talked to Innovative yesterday but their tunner was out on a tune so they are calling me back later supposedly. if i dont here from them tomarrow afternoon going to call again.
Also got an extra head set on 'accident' from the guy who shipped me the one for my car. its for a 6 cyl so guessing maybe an accord engine. will check the part number and see if i can figure it out and maybe sell it to someone

that would be cool

got some outlets in the garage so we will be good, Bring 1/2 impact sockets though, all i have are 3/8. I have a heater too which works pretty nice but hopefully the weather turns out good. even if its in the 40's i can get the garage up to atleast 50's with that heater
