the developer is in the works of re-releasing a beta of the garage for people to check out once that is available i will post a link for the die-hards.I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

yes i am aware its the 13th haha. i just got home from work im about to update the software here in a min and play around with it.
the update to the live forums will not happen for a few weeks yet because i want to get everything running before i go live with it. i dont want much, if any down time.

i also want to make it aware, with the change of the software im also going to be looking for a new web host. i been doing some homework and researching various hosts and i found a host that blows away the comp.
the new web host has a great lineup of features also, 99.9% Network Uptime Guarantee, was a HUGE + in my eyes and with that guarantee i dont expect thejdm to be down at all. also 600 Gigabytes of Hosting Space, thats insane! along with a huge amount of space comes 6 terabytes of bandwidth (6,000 Gigs of Transfer) to use that up i would need to almost have double the amount of total members on the site at 1 time!!
now the only drawback to this is... i just made a payment to mojo to host thejdm.com in November for another year. so that means if i switch now i will be out $117. but on another note mojo deducted ANOTHER $117 out of my paypal for who knows what reason! (im trying to resolve this to get my $117 reimbursed)
but the price i am paying now for hosting i am only getting 1.5gigs of space and 1gig of bandwidth (thats over 500% less space and over 5,999% less bandwidth!) the new host puts that to shame and its cheaper!
so decisions, decisions, once i resolve my paypal dispute i will probably bite the bullet and move hosts. the new host seems a lot more reliable and i talked to 2 different people live online, so i know customer support is fantastic.
if i decide to move i will be sure to make an announcement because with the move might come a day of downtime. (im not certain on this so dont quote me)

if anyone was concerned about the double payment, joe, from mojohosting, was very cool and professional about reimbursing the withdraw. so i am very happy with the way he handled it. very fast and is working on fixing the email error so it wont happen to anyone else.
i am still planning on changing servers once i can get the new forum software to the spot i want it to launch live.

well im still beta testing some software(modifications) and alot are still buggy with the new phpbb3 gold release so i just want to inform you all that im still working on it.
they are working on getting a good clean conversion modification as well so we wont loose much info when converting from the vB database to the phpBB3 database.
