I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

I'll get one eventually, but that doesn't justify the purchase. I buy stupid shit all the time.

it depends on the games you like really... i decided ill get one but thats cause of the games that are comming out for it... RE5, GTA4, COD4, just to name a few... but that doesnt mean im not gonna be happy about the price... then again i own an ass load of games and stuff so its not like i havent spent that much on one system... just it wasnt all at once it was over time lol

Don't forget to add the price of all the accessories you'll need to buy along with it. You'll need a memory card adapter to be able to use your old memory cards, or to even swap over existing game files to the hard drive (usb thumb drive would work though). New controllers, because it has different plugs than the ps2 (USB only). Audio and video cable if you want to hook it up to anything other than a regular tv (like s-video or for an HD tv). A guy I know who bought one said he spent around $1000 in total (tax included) for all the stuff he needed. Plus the fact that they over heat more easily than the ps2's, and some games have issues with accessing the hard drive.

But they're also going to be dropping the price a little in either october or november, so I would at least wait until then.

I think the overheating issues will be fixed in future releases, at least I hope.

ps one games will always be the best, it was before graphics were the most important aspect and the games were actually fun to play. nowadays the graphics are impressive on almost ever game but the gameplay sucks.
