I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

hood pins

Post by spdyslvrEX » June 05, 2007

How does everyone feel about hood pins in a carbon fiber hood. The reason I want to do it is because my hood latch broke. I got it welded but I dont know how long the weld will hold. Also I think the latch for the hood is either to long, because the hood kinda wobbles side to side, and makes the hood look off. The only problem with hood pins is the simple fact of them coming loose and my hood flyin up at 90 MPH. (Kotomile) Well tell me what ya'll think...Peace...Oh pics will be comin soon of the hood.

Also if anyone has 1 window sprayer they wouldnt mind letting go please let me know.
Time to change my signature....

aerocatch hoodpins look the best in CF hoods IMO. Defnitly pin it tho...ive had 2 close friend have thier CF hoods come up on them. If done for a reason, hood pins are totally fine. you sir have a reason, so knock yourself out!

Aerocatch, baller, and they work great. Plus you can get locking ones.

hood pins when you need them yes...

not a fan of them cosmetically....

i have a seibon carbon hood i rock on the nice summer days without hood pins... the fitment is great and the latch seems strong...but i wouldnt chance it for long distance highway trips.

i would recomend pins if you plan on running a cf hood as a primary hood though!
