I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

shifter problem

Post by MR.G » May 12, 2007

ok here's the deal. I have a 93 ex coupe with a b16 swap I also have a b&m short shifter.
The problem- my shifter has been smooth for the year or so that its been in, over the last couple weeks when I drive and the car warms up the shifter gets noticably stiffer to a point where it tough to shift. when the car cools down its back to normal. any idea what would cause this?

thanks for the info. a couple weeks ago I checked the bushing, it lookid fine so I put it back in with a coat of lube. also what should I be looking for on the linkage. it seems to happen only after driving for longer periods and when the car is warm.. soon as it cools, its back to normal.

Check the Hydraulic system, I am willing to bet its the culprit. Have you checked your trans fluid recently?
