I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

to those in the army...

vent. relax. have fun. anything goes. off topic chit-chat.

Bush said it himself last year, ""there must be consequences for Iran's defiance of demands that it stop enriching uranium. He said "the world now faces a grave threat from the radical regime in Iran." Well no shit dumbass, you knew that 6 years ago!

We don't do anything about it because Iran is a powerful conventional enemy. I don't really want to face the IRGC..

But no, the US doesn't know everything.

Not to make this personal, but YOU don't know the half of it. And as much as you know, I know even less.

It's not personal, It's actually kind of cool. I had no idea you kept up with world affairs.

I personally don't know everything, but I have access to much more information than the average citizen, I just have to make sure I don't say anything that'll get me in big trouble :)

Just so you guys know, it is alot harder than you think.

Koto is right though. We don't know everything, we couldn't. But we do try to put toghter enough info so someone who knows more than us can make a decsision.

I try to keep up on affairs as much as possible, it's hard getting non-biased information as a civilian. You can't rely on Fox news or CNN, because people pay other people big bucks to put up what they want people to hear.

kotomile wrote:Tomo - I was just like you right up until I joined. I did ROTC in high school (USMC) and liked the discipline, the exercise, the weapons, the drills, etc. Now I'm in the army and I have all kinds of decisions when/if I get out. I can use my training to get a nice paying job, I can go to college with my GI bill, I can come back in as an officer, I can stay in and retire, etc. Make sure the job you sign up for is something you want to do. It just occured to me most of thejdm'ers who are in the army are "90" series MOSs (94F, 98Y, 96B, etc.), heh. And don't worry about having something nice and never being able to drive it, it's not like you're ALWAYS going to be deployed.
yeah, the job i want to do is airborne ranger, and try to get in special forces when i can.

yeah i know i wont ALWAYS be deployed. but having an evo would make me always want to drive it and hate being where im deployed.
