I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Stereo Relocation kit

Post by spdyslvrEX » January 11, 2007

Ok guys, I am trying to find a way to relocate my stereo. I have an 01 Civic EX and I would like to relocate my stereo to the lower portion of the main dash. (yes right in front of the gear shift) Does anyone know where I can find this hardware needed for this project???
Time to change my signature....

I'm not sure about the 01s, but in my 98 I relocated it to there, and it fit with a little sanding on the opening after removing the pocket. Post a picture of the area if you don't mind.

Wow. That doesn't even look big enough to put a head unit in there. You could always cut until you can fit an installation kit in there. I thought they were more similar to a 96-00

Yea, that pic si just a bad angle on it. Its wide enough, and I know I will have to come out some. I was told that Nopi might have a kit for such a thing. However, I am an illiterit moron when it comes to that website...or any other website for that matter.

Gotta be something can be done. Too bad we're not in Jax anymore, dad's garage is like a little interior fab shop almost.
