I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Jackson Racing Supercharger Anyone?

Post by EPHatchgirl » December 06, 2003

I went the turbo route, but I know that Jackson Racing has recently started shipping their superchargers. Anyone get one? Anyone plan on it?
What prices have you gotten, since it's actually, for real, honestly, 100% been released? 8)

I'd rather go w/ the GReddy turbo kit (about $2400) because it's ALOT cheaper than the JRSC, makes more power, and is ALOT more upgradeable.

I'm new to the site and this answer may be elsewhere, but did you turbo the A3 that came with the car or did you swap your head and/or motor? Either way do yau have any dyno results?

Hey guys- yeah I turboed the A3... for now.... and I have dynoed it. I don't have the chart scanned, but I got so far, with my first pass at tuning:
9 lbs of boost
258 HP
209 Ft Lbs of torque

The kit cost 4200$ shipped, and I installed it myself. You have to buy oil and a different spark plug so I would say about $4250 on the road, if you isntall your self.
