I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

CTR interior

Post by siguy_99 » July 19, 2006

I have a 99 Si and i want to convert it as best as I can to the CTR interior, but the Si interior is gray and the CTR interior is black. I noticed this specificaly on the door panels. Is it possible to get an interior shop to reapulster the dash and other interior parts to match the door panels? Will it be out ragously expensive if it is possible?

i dont have much experience reapulstering anything, but i cant imagine how that would ever be done on an entire dash... the only way i could see it being done and looking good is by pulling the car apart and taking your entire dash out, and finding a way to dye it black... there are some dyes that are made to permiate plastic and im sure they would be able to perminately dye you dash... but thats alot of work for sure!

SEM makes vinyl and plastic dye. If you buy interior parts for an older gm, most parts don't come colored. SEM prep and dye is recomended. You can get it from The Eastwood Co.
