I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

greenhouse park?

Post by .saint » May 22, 2007

how much u think they would charge to throw up a 'meet' or some type of cruise in BBQ there?

figure if u could advertise at local car shows and put together like a big ol BBQ that would be a bumpin place to hang. charge 5 bucks a head, show car or not. u can park in the 'visitor' side or u can show the car off. have some people grillin up burgers and dogs, have a cooler with a shit ton of drinks for people u could probly make money off the show in the long run. i would rather have like a bad ass meet/bbq with all the old buckets and imports, domestics and whatnot then to goto a judged show where the locals dont have any idea what they are looking at.

call it like the 'thejdm.com presents the OMGWTFBBQ' and just pass out fliers and shit in peoples windows at the other events. maybe do it annually eventually if it takes off. ??? what u people think?

Sounds like a plan, no idea what they would charge to rent that place out though. Just pray for some nice weather, that place turns into a swamp after a little bit of rain.

Greenhouse would get more people. I think it's $$$, though. Maybe not for one pavilion. Check into it. Duman's hasn't called me back.

IMO PG is a clear winner with plenty of room with enough isolation in certain areas to get loud.

I checked into Greenhouse a while back, pricing was in the 100-300 range per pavillion depending on the size. Im not sure what it would run to rent the entire place out, or even if you would need to. Rent 1 or 2 pavillions and you get the use of the rest of the park included I believe (firepits, volleyball court, porta-shitters, etc.) Plenty of room for parking too. Definately would be a good time though. The only stipulation is you have to be out by dark or round about there. I think 10-11pm, dont quote me on that though.
