I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

My bonnet doesn't open!!

Post by akhlaq768 » February 11, 2006

My bonnet started to play up today, it will not open.

The release latch located in the interior doesn't seem to have any problems, it does look like that the cable is being pulled but the bonnet doesn't pop open.

Is there anyway I can open with any major surgery???

you could try tackling it from the bottom up maybe?

Or you could take off your front bumper cover and grill to try and get at it...

not sure what could be wrong...

I had the same problem with my winter car. Took alot of screwing with. Best is to pull the latch, and have someone pull up on the hood until you can get into the latch and open it. Once you get it open grease the hell out of the latch. You might have to pry with a screwdriver in the latch to get it to release totally.

Monkeying is the key. Sounds like the latch is just seized up.
