I like the xB a lot, but I could never own something with a center-mounted instrument cluster, I don't know why Toyota continues to think that putting the guages there is a good idea.

I totally agree, that would stop me from buying an xB also.

Well, guys it's not like there's a lot of gauges. All of them are located in one single pod a little bigger then a monster tach. The xA and xb are related closely to the Echo which also has a center instrument cluster.

Understood. The only way I'd get it is if I was prepared to build a custom fiberglass dash to put the guages back where they belong.

I must say, you did put a good spin on the situation, like any good salesman. You probably sell a bunch of Scions.

I have actually seen an xB with the gauge pod replaced with a monster tach, the information center covered over, and then over towards the driver individual gauges installed in the dashboard and placed into individiual pods. Looked real nice. The actual reason the gauges are mounted "centraly" is to have the driver pay more atention to the road and less on the gauges, which is a safety concern. So guys keep your eyes off the high revving 1NZ-FE.
