PIR SENSOR Description
This PIR sensor from Parallax detects motion up to 20 feet away by using a Fresnel lens and infrared-sensitive element to detect changing patterns of passive infrared emitted by objects in its vicinity. Inexpensive and easy to use, making it ideal for props, motion-activated lighting, and non-critical security applications. This PIR sensor is directly compatible with the Prop-1, Prop-2, and Prop-SX controllers using a standard 3-pin extension cable.
14" extension cable (#805-00035) is included with each sensor.
USB-to-Serial Adapter Description
No serial port on your PC? No problem! This new USB-to-Serial Adapter from our friends at Parallax will allow you program your Prop-1 controller with PC that has a USB port. Simply connect the USB-to-Serial Adapter to the BS1-SA and to your Prop-1. Connect the USB adapter to your PC with a USB A to mini B cable.
This adapter uses the latest FTDI USB-to-Serial adapter chip, the FT232RL, and FTDI provides high-quality drivers that ensure the communications integrity using your favorite operating system.
Note: USB cable is not included with the adapter; it must be purchased separately.
i am running fright idea controllers so i have no need for this EFX-TEK controller.
68" Extension Cable Description
68-inch (5 feet, 8 inches -- 175 cm), three-pin (female-female) extension cable is used for connecting the Prop-1, Prop-2, or Prop-SX to other devices (e.g., the AP-8, DC-16, FC-4, RC-4, Prop-Pot) and pin-compatible sensors (e.g., PIR). Contructed from heavy-guage (#22) wire to ensure good signal strength from end-to-end.
Note: 14" cable pictured -- 65" cable is similarly constructed.
