So.
I just got back from a Diplo show.
Holy fuck.
That dude is actually insane, so fucking nuts. Craziest shit Ive ever heard. Cant hear shit. Ears ringing.
Awesome.
I highly recommend seeing Diplo if hes playing anywhere near you.
I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Re: Soo...
He produced some M.I.A tracks, namely paper planes, was nominator for a grammy for that, and has done alot of other wild shit.
Runs a record label, mad decent (http://www.maddecent.com)
I dunno some of his remixes and stuff really dont sound that cool, I mean they are good but nothing you would really expect as a crazy club banger, but his live performance was just nuts.
Like Ive watched some before on youtube and he seemed to be doing some wild stuff, but live its 100x crazier.. And he runs through such a diverse selection of music while still maintaining cohesiveness...
Like he would be playing some Brazilian Baile funk noones ever heard of, then go to some crookers mix but it had vocals he was mixing over it in real time, then go to some hip hop, then to crazy dub step, then to rick ross 'hustlin' into MGMT - electric feel, like all kinds of just wild ass shit.. lol. He was constantly mixing shit too, Like he would drop a track in and then immediately que up the next and start mixing it in and so he would never really be playing a song more then like 45 seconds with just that one song playing, but you never really picked out clear starting and ending points to the transitions.
And he had this Korg Kaosillator thing was sweet it has like a touch pad and it varies the pitch and frequency of sounds, and he had like a lazer/space ship noise that he would kick in as a build was starting to develop and then work it up to be super fast passed and drop it out, all you here is crazy lazer noises, then he drops some ridiculous song in.
Pretty much a must see.
Dudes amazing.
