I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

As far as prices' for the two, i was looking on hmotorsonline and there is only a $50 difference between the b16a complete swap and the b18b complete swap, b18c1 is about $2900

My setup is a pieced together setup of friends' used parts and a few new ones. Do it once and do it right, though. My motor is a totally stock LS and I have a GSR tranny to it. Boob has almost the same setup as me on a stock LS in his EF and has over 60k miles on the setup. Who says turbo Hondas aren't reliable?
He ended up picking up a midori EK after he wrecked his four door fifth gen. This midori should be pretty cool when he's done. Right now it's lowered on polished fat fives.

ls motors have lower compression than b16's so i guess you could say they'd be more reliable in a sence but i dunno that really doesnt justify the ls being better for boost. i'd swap an ls in it they're easy to find. you could easily piece together a swap for cheap

Pics?
I saw a midori the other day (by OGs, Josh) and got excited. Getting closer I saw that the passenger side (front fender, whole door and rear fender) had it's shit pushed in. I was sad.

so even if i didnt boost it you guys still think an LS swap would be the way to go?
i have to admit i really thought everyone was going to say to swap a b16a or b18c because of vtec.

With an LS swap you'll mop up B16 swaps.

well that good to know because i was under the impression that b16 would have been better since it had vtec and puts out about 170hp, where as the LS doesnt have vtec and puts out about 145hp.
so LS swap regardless if its NA or boosted?

im assuming that you are reffering to these motors? from what ive seen LS is better for torque but the B16 is better for topend. if turboed the LS would prolly be better but i dont know about turbo setups.

ok well i think i've decided to go ahead and swap in a b18b1. I want to boost it but i'm not quite sure if i'm going to since it is my daily. this is going to be a winter break project for me and i plan on saving over the summer for the build.
Anyone have any points as to where to look for a motor? Online? Junkyard? People Selling?
Any pointers on what to go for for a turbo setup that would be good for a daily?

Local junkyard. Mine came out of a four door that had antislip drawer liner in the cubby holes. It was some old woman's car.
As far as a daily turbo setup...keep it simple and be happy with less than 275whp. Resist the temptation to turn the boost knob up.
