I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Thanks to everyone that showed. We are already in the planning stages for next year. 3rd saturday in august 2007. Same location. All the constuction will be done, the top lot will be paved and some other improvments. in the back corner they are building a stage so we're gonna try and get one of the local bands to play. We are also gonna start later in the day and run it into evening/night.

If anyone has any suggestions/comments/bitches/gripes please let me know either on here or at [email protected]. I want to make this show better every year. We can make this a really good event.

We are currently in the process of setting up a website strictly for the show and will list all the info and winners list and pics of past years. It will be http://www.endofsummershowdown.org

Thanks again everyone!!

I don't know why this crossed my mind, but when you mentioned pavement a thought occured to me. Anyone seen shots of cars driving on a white sand beach? What if the pavement was painted an off-white/tan color like that?! Would make for some good photography I think.

On a side note....

The "9 second" Scion tC is no way in hell a 9 second car. They told us these stats before we ever laid eyes on the car. Once I saw it, I knew there was no f'n way. After a little digging I found out that they have $50k in the car total, including the cost of the car, and it ran 11.87 with slicks on it. So it's pretty fast, but a world away from 9 seconds. The car is owned by Central Atlantic Scion, which is the central atlantic region distributor of scion cars for toyota.

I figured that you were told that before it got there. Still a decent car.

11.87 is a "little" more believable than 9's. At least they're getting warmer.

Im jumping on the bandwagon to. Im sure its a good running car.....but 11.87 on stock internals with that much shit in and on the car, doesnt sound very realistic.
