I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

i shrunk the posted images down a bit more. the page break we were getting from them on the portal page was really ticking me off. but yeah, any images over 400px wide will be shrunk to 400px wide. still clickable to open in a lightbox though, just shrunk the size down to fit in the post a bit better.

cleaned up a good bit of the template. change most of the 'out of place' huge text that you would see at the tops of all the pages. here is an example of the change:

before: Image after: Image yeah its not much i know, but its smaller and looks better IMO. with the smaller text size that reduces scrolling by a tiny and probably un-noticable bit. but still. this heading change was made board wide (ucp, pm's, feedback, garage, arcade, ect.) most if not all of you wont even notice the change.

3:10 pm

i finally set the permissions for user feedback, everyone who makes a sale/trade through the site can now leave feedback for the other user. kind of like the old itrader i had when we were running vB.

i was able to add AJAX to the quick reply. what is AJAX?
wikipedia wrote:Ajax (shorthand for asynchronous JavaScript and XML[1]) is a group of interrelated web development techniques used on the client-side to create interactive web applications. With Ajax, web applications can retrieve data from the server asynchronously in the background without interfering with the display and behavior of the existing page. The use of Ajax techniques has led to an increase in interactive or dynamic interfaces on web pages[2][3]. Data is usually retrieved using the XMLHttpRequest object. Despite the name, the use of JavaScript and XML is not actually required, nor do the requests need to be asynchronous.[4]
there is no extra page loads when posting from quick reply now.
but you will notice your text will vanish for a second until the post is added. im going to try to put some kind of animated 'loading' gif to show your post is being posted and not just vanishing.
