I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

F/S My AE86

Post by <<SiN420>> » December 05, 2006

Up for sale my 85 corolla gt-s. Many of you guys have seen it but for those who haven’t I’ll try to give the best description that I can. The car has been completely rebuilt from when I purchased it full suspension, engine, drive train, brakes ect. The cars body is in great shape for being 21 years old there are some minor body flaws (rust on sunroof skin, small dent under tail light and on hatch) but paint is in good shape. My original goal with this car was to have a track car so I have the interior gutted with just a few panels left on the inside. How ever I saved all the pieces for anyone that would want to put it back it. I don’t have the factory carpet thought was in bad shape so I threw it out. This car dose not have any heater core ac or blower motor, when the new engine was installed the firewall had to be notched back about 3 inches to fit the swapped engine. I do still have all the parts if you want to try to make it work. The dash and the driver seat have some cracks in it.

On to the engine, when I purchased the car I removed the stock 16v and replaced it with a 20v engine. I have the original motor I will throw in with the cars sale. I don’t know the running condition of it didn’t start when I got it but I never tried to see what was wrong with it cause I was gonna take it out anyway. But it is complete with no visible outer damage leaks and it cranks and has compression. The new engine is out of a 99 Toyota Levin it is an N/A 20v with factory itb’s and I replaced the pistons with higher compression ones a power enterprise metal head gasket and timing belt. New trd plugs and wires a trd header and test pipe.

The suspension has been redone as well. Replaced all original rubber bushings with energy suspension urethane bushings. T3 full coilover setup (camber plates rca’s 8-10 kg springs kyb agx shocks with higher valve rate) Tanabe front sway bar and strut tower bars. For anyone that I let drive the car they can tell you that it handles very well.

There are some things u might wanna change of fix that i didn't get around to doing, Reverse lights need wired as well as horn and wiper motor. Tranny shifts great but dose have some whine and has trouble downshifting from 3 to 2 gear( a common problem with toyota t50 trans check club4ag.com) I think thats it other that what i listed above.

I’ll give a list of parts below that are on the car. If I left anything out or if ya have any questions let me know. I hate to see it go by far the funest car I have ever built and I hope that someone gets it that will have just as much fun in it as I did. Thanks mike

Check out my car domain page has pics of the build and I have more pics for anyone that wants em http://www.cardomain.com/id/sin420
