I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

thejdm spring meet.

Post by .saint » December 09, 2003

alright i know its the beginning of december and spring isnt for awhile. but there was alot of talk about a meet in a few of the posts and instead of taking other posts over with meet rants i figured we can start soemthing here. we have a few months to decide on everything but in this thread we can throw out idea's and hopefully burn it into peoples heads so the participation level is high.

so if anyone has any idea on where it should be located spit something out. maybe try to centrer it between all the memebrs who would like to come so everyone has the same amount of driving time..

i was thinking on the lines of a nice park. some place with nice parking and a place we can fire up a grill burn.. i meen cook some burgers and hotdogs. have some chips. maybe get some steaks kickin or soemthing. sit back on the grass/chairs and chat hang out for the day...

there is a nice place here in johnstown called 'windber rec' i wouldnt say its the greatest but its a park with pavalions and a swimming pool/water slide. we could rent a pavilion or soemthing. then again thats a hell of a drive for some people.

We should do a little more research for parks. State College was a pretty central area too. There's a park there at Whipple Dam. No pavilions, but there's tables, etc. It's a state park on Route 26.

BoostedITR...I'd rock my GT at the track. I've been there. Very nice. Fone...let me know...I'll try to make it if it's in our area.

I've raced that track TONS of times.

Fourth at the last Stars N Stripes National that I raced.

South Park is a rad place. Big area with tons of parking.

Jawn and I were talking at work today. If we have a meet in Pittsburgh we should go to the waterfront at night to Dave n Busters.

We could plan to meet up somewhere before traveling to the meet (wherever it would be.)

Anyways, we should maybe put together a poll to find out where people would be coming from to maybe put together a better idea of where to have it. A more central location.
