So this old timer I work with has a buddy who has a salvage yard. I asked him to get me a price on a 99-00 Honda civic Si transmission. So he tells me he has one for $400 and it only has 46,000 miles. I said are you sure its for a B series. He said yes.. soooo i'm gonna ask about the motor also tomorrow. Now I know that's a pretty cheap price for that trans in my opinion. But I am wondering what you guys think. |

I'm certainly no where near an expert, but that seems like a pretty good price to me. Especially with the low miles on it. Do a search in the classified section on H-T, and they have them for sale anywhere from $500-650. yeah 4 seems legit. scope it out make sure its clean and is for a B for sure. |

A good price especially considering mileage. See if there's a warranty. Just to make sure it works when you put it in. In case the car was hit while it was in gear or something. |

Yeah i'm for sure finding out about the motor. My LS went through 3 quarts of oil in a month... so.. |

Well they do not have the motor, so I'm getting the trans on Monday. Now I'm trying to find another motor. I wold like a B20Z, but I would settle for a B20B. Opinion? Or just get a B16 and put my GSR cams in it? |
