I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Question for FONE

Post by ackatck » November 07, 2003

I notice that you got power options in your hatch (Power door locks, Power windows) The US model DX's don't come with opower options, Did you install them yourself?

yeah. i dont have the power locks hooked up. only the windows. i took civic-r door panels and poped the red armrest out of them. then i got a set of 99-00 civic SI door panels and window switches and put the ctr armrest in the si panels along with the si switches.. then i went on ebay and got myself a SPal Universal power window kit.

its actually not as hard as i me and my bro made it on ourselves. we slacked off for a months worth.. then studying the diagram over and over we finally figured it out.. the hardest part was getting the passenger side working. once we did that it was hard to get the driver side switch to control the passenger side. now everything is A-OKAY! :)

here is my estimated costs: (for my eg btw...)
$100 for door panels with all switches (make sure the wire harness is there on the switches otherwise its useless!)
$80 for spal on ebay
hayes repair manual laying around [really helps]
internet [find a buddy that did it before so you can bug them for help...in my case it was john lol]
different color spools of wires i spent like $30 bucks total with two full color spools left and some of other colors.
headaches...those are free

so estimated about $200ish

worth it in my opinion when you dont have to reach over to roll the window down to pick up chicks lol j/k

Damn you have Recaro's and now you want spoon buckets? I'm going for spoon buckets too. Or maybe some Bride buckets, spoon's take 2 months of busting my ass at work just for seats.
