I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

New to the forums - Wax_Hands

Hows it going everyone, hope I can make a nice addition to the forums. I have been a Honda-head for many years now. I have owned four Civic's so far. Currently in my line up is:

1978 Honda Civic 1200
2000 Honda Civic Si
2007 Honda Civic EX

Currently I am on engine setup number 4 on the Si. Currrent configuration is top secret but I will unveil its build as soon as I get some dyno time. Not only that I don't have the cams I really want yet for it. I will tell you though that they are made from Brian Crower. First I have to pull the engine again because it is leaking oil at the Oil Pressure Sending unit. I believe it may have a small fissure crack there. Pretty common actually.

So gonna pull the motor some time this week and weld up the hole completely. I have a sandwich plate and both oil pressure senders in it at the moment. One is for the gauge, some people don't believe the gauge is worth while since there is a dummy light but I like to be informed if pressure drops even a few pounds.

I will post some pictures at a later time when things are wrapped up and the car is painted. Actually I might leave the door and fender just etch primed up to give it that POS sleeper effect. Really depends on the mood I suppose.

Well other than the car I am a certified technician who got out of the automotive field due to the economy. Got tire if the bitchy public so I am finishing my degree in IT. IT has always been another passion of mine since high school over a decade ago when i started dual enrollment with CISCO networks.

So i hope I can be of some help to the forums. I will probably be hanging out in the tech sections most of all.

Forgot to mention my current other project other than loose ends on the Civic is a JDM Navigation unit. A great deal of helpful information from .saint the site admin has given me great insight on how to go about installing it. I am going to start make the harness tomorrow as I now know what I am looking at as to where the plugs go to.

That is actually what brought me here to theJDM. http://www.thejdm.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=5049

So as I start the install i will be making a new HOW-TO on how to get this bad boy installed and I will try to do a wire by wire installation for you all. Also I have hypothetically figured out a way to bypass the tape deck to enable full audio. We shall see and hopefully tomorrow will be a great day for myself and the forum. Also I may have a work around for the US maps issue as well. So cross your fingers!
