Got an email reply from Keith @ FM today, I was asking about intercoolers and general progress on the new kits: The IC will be patterened after the intercooler currently offered for the Mazdaspeed. They're the long-tube style. In fact, 2001-05 cars will get that exact intercooler. The 1990-00 cars will get one that is slightly smaller to clear the different AC configuration. We're waiting for the first 5 manifolds to get here, intercooler pipes are going in to production, downpipes are already in production and we're looking at the intakes.
