I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Re: P-ratos Red Ek
so i have a question for you members of thejdm.com. I have been wanting a new car but at the same time i would rather save my money to get something nice and use my car now as a beater and what not. Being that i dont plan on getting a new car until i graduate and get a good career i think i want to do a swap.
Right now i;m rocking the good ol' d16y8 and i want to swap it out for a b-series. What i would like to do is swap in a b what i'm not sure which i should go with, b16 or b18? I want to get something thats going to be reliable, last, and reasonable on the pocket since i want to save my money for a new car. I was just wondering what opinions you guys had as to which motor would be the ideal swap? i'm not sure if i'll every put boost to it of not but if i would it would only be a little, so which is better for boost? Which is better for an N/A build?
So help let me get some opinions and reasons why.
Thanks guys

haha i know. i just wanted to throw that out there.
Re: P-ratos Red Ek
ls swap would probly be cheaper for you to do. the ls will have more low end power as where the b16 will give you more top end due to VTAAKKKKK. you could do an ls vtec best of both worlds for the time being but if your looking for the cheapiest ls swap would be the way to go
Re: P-ratos Red Ek
LS swap it. You can get em cheap as shit. Plus they're still fun to daily drive.
Re: P-ratos Red Ek
agree'd i had an LS swapped EG as a daily a few years back before i had my 240.

LS motors are good for boost on stock internals arent they?
