Paint doesn't last long on all the moldings on our cars. It was never painted when it came out of the factory. I repainted my car 3 years ago and it still looks nice and shiny. (painted the moldings) BUT the moldings are peeling off. The warranty is over. You guys have any insight on fixing this without spending alot of money? Thanks, jerry |

get bumpers without painted mouldings, i think it looks dumb, my car currently has them and i am going to be getting bumpers without them painted, its more JDM that way |

The trick is to have the moldings lightly sanded and then sprayed with an adhesion promoter. Then make sure that the paint used has a proper percentage of flex agent added. Your body shop should have known to do this...but I admit that DA9 moldings are difficult as hell to paint properly in comparison to other car side moldings. Good luck. HTH Mike |
