I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

my dc is getting a transformation

Post by miyagi » May 13, 2005

Exactly one month from today my teg goes into the body shop for some heavy duty plastic surgery and an overall rebirth haha. ITR front end with HID's, ITR wing, cf hood and lip, JDM power folds, 98 tail lights and a fresh coat of paint are all on their way. I'm gonna try to score a 98 rear bumper for cheap before then too ... so make sure you j-town and surrounding area guys are on the look out. If you know some choad with a teg with a sweet invader 17 body kit that wants to get rid of his stock rear bumper for super cheap, let me know.

I'm not sure as to what color i'm gonna rock yet though. I doubt its gonna stay red though, unless i get too scared ahaha. I was gonna do the Excursion/Expedition estate green pearl (the olive drab looking color) but i'm kinda iffy about it. It kinda looks like J-Puff up in the current banner. Then I thought about Gallopagos Green Metallic (Element Green) ... then I was driving past blair honda and saw this bronzish Ridgeline.... and i'm leaning toward that right now. I'm gonna get the paint name and code for it tomorrow when I pick up my 'H' and 'Honda' emblems. It looks green at times, bronze at times, and when its dark out, at certain angles it looks gunmetal and at others it looks like jon's EK. If you guys have suggestions let me know ... I'm open.

Oh and don't worry .... I'll whore the place up with some pics. The day it comes back, a bunch of us are gonna do a small shoot. Todd just got his EG sprayed gunmetal, duanne just got his b16, put on som black gt3's and a cf hood, jim put my supercharger and a gsr motor in his si ... so it should be a good time with some great pics. And HOPEFULLY by that time, quinn will have his neon running haha .... word on the street is he's got enough for Motec and tuning so it should be good to go. **Yea ... its a neon, I know ... but regardless ... it should be a hammer ... he's got the EXACT same setup that Len Ayala was breaking records in with his full street trim neon, except aaron's using better engine management. Super 20G-N at 20+ psi.**

I think I'm more excited for the time AFTER I get the car back because as soon as its paid for, its time to start piecing together my turbo setup. I should have enough left over for the turbo (T61, SC61 or something similar) and maybe the manifold too (full race, love fab ... just something equal length) and i've already got my wastegate. It should be a hammer ... a guy in a full interior EG with a stock internalled LS motor, 60-1, and butt dyno tuning and street drags was pulling 12.40-12.60's at the track last week at 10 psi. 10psi is gonna be my low-boost, pump gas, conservative tune if all goes as planned ..... haha. And Darren .... boost IS better hahaha

Oh well ... I'll keep you posted

alright ... it's decided. Its getting the gallopagos (element) green treatment. It was my first hunch, so i'll just go with it. If i can get some money together as planned, i'll have munster's cicuit 8's for when it rolls out of the body shop, but if not its gonna be rolling on some 99/00 si wheels for the time being till i get the flow. Either way it should look pretty hot ....
17 days and counting bitches ... then its time to spread the jdm flavaaaaaa at the old em's sub carshows.
